Visiting Yosemite

Getting There:

There are a number of options for traveling to Yosemite to see our shows:

YARTs: bus service to Yosemite Valley from Merced, Fresno, Sonora, Mariposa, and more, with a Curry Village drop off location. Mariposa and Merced residents can apply for free tickets on April 26th or April 27th here.

UC Merced busses to the park on April 27th and 28th, sponsored by the Outdoor Experience Program. $30 for UC Merced students, $60 for general public, includes transportation and entry to the park. Attend the noon performance on either day, with time to explore the Valley in the afternoon.

Self-drive: parking fills early on weekends; plan to arrive before 10 am for noon shows.*

*New this year, reservations are needed to enter the park in a personal car on Saturday April 27th and Sunday, April 28th.

If you plan to attend the noon show on either of these days, you will need to book a morning reservation to enter the park here. If you plan to attend the 5:00 show on Saturday, April 27th, you can book a morning or afternoon reservation, or enter the park without a reservation after 4:00.

More reservations go on sale one week in advance, so you can reserve additional spots starting at 8:00 am on April 20th or 21st for the 27th and 28th.

If you have reservations for a hotel or campsite in the park, or a wilderness or Half Dome permit that weekend, or plan to enter on a bus including YARTS, you do not need a reservation, and no reservations are needed on Friday, April 26.

Accomodations:

Please visit the Travel Yosemite website for accommodation information, or check out the Yosemite Bug and other local options. Campsites in the park can be booked here.
